Trip to Blenheim Palace

On Friday we went on a trip to Blenheim Palace as part of our topic called 'Through the Keyhole'. We visited the palace and learnt about the architecture, the history of the place and about Winston Churchill and the Duke of Marlborough. We went on a train and got lost in a maze. We finished the day on the adventure playground. The children were amazing and so well behaved. This week the children are writing their own recount and we will share these on here.

School Cross Country Event

Today the whole school took part in a fabulous Cross country event. All the children did so well in some very challenging conditions - hail, rain, wind, cold and then some very slippy grass! The children did their absolute best to get round and all the staff were hugely impressed with their determination. Please find a few photos of the afternoon (sorry there weren't more my fingers were a bit too cold to press the button!) The children will find out tomorrow the winner of KS1, KS2 and the overall team winner!

Jewish Visitor shares Special Artefacts

On Tuesday 21st February Mrs Jo Elijah visited Oak and Ash to share with the children lots of information about the Ark and the Torah scrolls. She brought with her an Ark she had made and we learnt all about the different Torah scrolls inside, how they were made and used in a Synagogue. She also shared with us some stories from the first five books of the bible too and was very impressed with our knowledge.
