From Farm to Fork

On a sunny Tuesday afternoon, Birch class learnt some interesting facts about Force leap Farm. On the walk to the farm we saw one of the farm's five bulls; it was the golden one with a ring through its nose. We saw the calves separated from their mums at the age of nine months.. One of the mums was in a pen because its calf kept blowing up with gas and Nick needed to look after it. Nick also showed us where he gives the cattle the medicine they need and how he carefully records all the information about each cow. Nick sends two animals to Brackley Butchers every week.
