This week the children have met Monica the Monster who loves to teach Phonics! Phonics is the first ‘formal’ style of teaching the children in Reception have had but the ‘Fab Four’ Year 1 children have been studiously working away in their own special section of the classroom. All of the children have impressed us with their willingness to learn and take part in activities…..Reception have been dying to join in with some of the Year 1 activities so I have no doubt that they will be more than happy to be at school full time! We have already had 3 children reach the top of the behaviour chart, meaning that they get to take home a certificate, and I'm sure that many more will follow next week. I hope everyone is feeling well rested for their first week full time, here are some pictures of what we have been up to so far.
