Earthquake Challenge

Birch class became architects, material directors, accountants, project managers and builders and had a constructing challenge. Each team had to design, build, and test a model structure made out of uncooked spaghetti sticks. There model was tested on a specially built earthquake machine. This machine simulates the stresses that occur during earthquakes. The model aim was to withstand a 10 second earthquake without collapsing. They competed against other companies (teams) by attempting to build the best structure.
