This picture shows the rocket seeds in the early stages - they are even bigger now! This week's task was to count the leaves on 5 randomly selected plants from each replicate. We worked in groups and used excellent team work skills. So far, it is pretty close between the red and blue packets - so we are wondering which packet had been into space! Regular watering and rotation of the trays are all part of the investigation, and if Mrs Thomas or Mrs Fox forget, members of the class are quick to remind them!
Our science work is also linking in to our new Computing topic; the first stage is studying bugs and capturing images using the tablets we have in school. Ash class worked in twos and threes to hunt for different bugs and were extremely good at spotting them.
