Birch class have had a fantastic first week exploring the first 4 panels of the 'big frieze'!
For the Creation panel, we wrote poems and made collaborate collages - showing what 'creation' means to us. For 'The Fall' we discussed when the event in the Adam and Eve story occurred, then conducted a Science investigation on the how the pull of gravity causes objects to fall. We finished the week exploring panels 3 and 4 - People of God. Our focus was on the Hebrews and their Exodus from Egypt. We discussed the idea of what it means to be free, wrote diary entries as if we were Hebrew slaves, and finished off with Geography map work, plotting the route the Hebrews took to the promised land.
