MAKING 'SENSE' OF THE RAINFOREST...

Elm Class have had a great start to 2018 with the thought-provoking Big Frieze topic - this has inspired many minds and given us all a deeper insight into Christianity.

Today we began our new class topic, RAINFORESTS. We began with a sensory experience where we saw, heard, felt, smelt and tasted what a rainforest is like. We then completed a vocabulary activity and learnt lots of new words, such as canopy, species, emergent and endangered. All of the children also thought of a specific question and 'googled it' to find the answer!

This afternoon the children had their first experience of using their school emails accounts. We had a detailed discussion about what we should and should not use these for and about esafety more broadly.
